About Vyapara Vruddhi Puja
Vyapara Vruddhi Puja (literally "business expansion worship") is performed for existing businesses that seek fresh growth, wider market reach, or relief from a stagnation phase. Unlike the New Shop Opening Puja — which is for inaugurations — this ritual is for enterprises already running and aims at Vruddhi (expansion). It invokes Lakshmi, Kubera, Ganesha, and the ishta-devata of the owner, and includes a focused Sankalpa for specific growth targets — revenue, clients, new branches, product launches.
When to perform it
Ideal dates include Akshaya Tritiya, Dhanteras, Ugadi / New Year, Dussehra (Vijayadashami), first Friday of the new financial year, or when the business has hit a stagnation plateau. Pushya and Hasta nakshatras on Thursday or Friday are preferred muhurtas.
The South Indian procedure
South Indian tradition includes Ganapathi Puja, Ashta Lakshmi Puja, Dhana Lakshmi Homa, Kubera Yantra Pratishtha, and Dhanvantari-Kubera stotra recitation. Ledger books (kaidaa) are worshipped alongside the idol.
This is the form our pandits follow by default in Lakshmipuram — Mysore families are overwhelmingly Kannada-tradition. Tell us if your family follows a different sampradaya and we will match a purohit accordingly.

Vyapara Vruddhi Puja — common questions
My business is stagnant — will this puja actually help?
Vyapara Vruddhi Puja addresses both spiritual and operational blocks. Many business owners in Bangalore report renewed customer flow, better employee morale, and breakthrough deals within 3–6 months. It must be combined with disciplined operational effort.
Can it be done at my office / shop or only at home?
Strongly preferred at the business premises itself, so the Kubera Yantra can be permanently installed and the space sanctified. We also do it at home for online / consulting businesses that have no physical office.
How is this different from the New Shop Opening Puja?
New Shop Opening is for inauguration of a brand-new business. Vyapara Vruddhi is for existing businesses — focused on growth, expansion, and breaking stagnation rather than starting fresh.
