About Diwali Lakshmi Kubera Puja

Diwali · the Festival of Lights · is the most widely celebrated Hindu festival in India. On the main Lakshmi Puja night (Amavasya), Lord Vishnu imprisoned demon Narakasura and Goddess Lakshmi was welcomed back to the world. Homes are illuminated with diyas, rangoli adorns the entrance, and a special Lakshmi-Kubera Puja is performed to invite wealth, prosperity, and abundance. Gopuja offers the complete Diwali puja with expert pandits for both South and North Indian traditions.

📅 When to perform

Main Lakshmi Puja is on Diwali Amavasya evening. In South India, Naraka Chaturdashi (day before) is also celebrated as the main Diwali. Dhanteras (2 days before) is ideal for business puja. Govardhan Puja is the day after Diwali.
