About Sunderkand Paath
Sunderkand is the fifth chapter (Kanda) of Valmiki's Ramayana and Goswami Tulsidas's Ramcharitmanas — describing Lord Hanuman's heroic journey across the ocean to Lanka, his search for Mata Sita, his encounter with Ravana, and his triumphant return. "Sunder" means beautiful — this chapter is considered the most beautiful and most powerful for devotional recitation (Paath). Regular Sunderkand Paath is believed to remove fear, obstacles, negative energy, and bring the direct blessings of both Lord Hanuman and Lord Rama.
When to Perform
Tuesdays and Saturdays are most auspicious (Hanuman's days). Also performed on Hanuman Jayanti, Ram Navami, full moon days, new beginnings, during times of difficulty, or as a monthly vow. Can be performed any day with sincere devotion.
