History of Sri Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple
A 9th-century Nolamba-Chola temple at the foot of Nandi Hills.
Sri Bhoga Nandeeshwara Temple in Nandi village dates to the 9th century, with later additions by the Cholas, Hoysalas and Vijayanagara rulers. It is one of the finest old temples near Bangalore.
It has twin main shrines, Arunachaleshwara and Bhoga Nandeeshwara, with a shrine of Uma Maheshwara between them, and a large stepped kalyani called Shringi Teertha.
